update from Lucy and Diesel's foster mom.............

Lucy is settling wonderfully and what a sweetheart she is. And since she also acts goofy, rolling around outside or on her big dog bed while chewing and tossing her toys, or falling asleep in goofy positions, we always call her "I love Lucy"! She loves to go walking and can't wait to get out and get going in the morning. This morning she stirred up some turkeys and was quite excited about her discovery wanting to wait around and see if more were coming, but we convinced her to move on and see what else she could find! She is still very timid with people at first meeting but it doesn't take her long to warm up and then she'll try and climb in your lap. She just can't get enough loving! She is housebroken here and sleeps nicely in her crate at night. She always runs in and wants to search out the cats but has never tried to hurt them in any way, she's just making sure she knows where they are and what they're doing! This is a terrific dog that needs a good life!

Diesel also just came to stay with us. Everyone came up to say hi to him and then he wandered around, getting " the lay of the land" and seeing what all he could discover. Lucy adores him and can hardly leave him alone; hence we decided we should call him Desi! Lucy will follow him all over trying to get his attention. Desi is a pretty laid back guy and doesn't mind at all. He also is looking for a family that wants a loverboy. He loves to get petted and rubbed and then will just slide down on your feet. He went on his first walk with us this morning and did great. He was exploring and smelling and having fun, keeping those short, little legs moving! Then since it was a nice sunny day he decided to have a nap outdoors. Later he came in and had a quiet chew on his hoof. What a sweet, little guy that will be a nice addition to any family!
