December update from foster mom Pat.............

Sara has really blossomed the last couple of weeks.  She has come out of her shell and seems to be enjoying life much more now.  She has taken on a new assignment, she is now kitchen supervisor!  She will sit(or lay) right with me in  the kitchen as bowls of food are prepared, carefully watching to make certain all is done according to her specs!  She pays such close attention I feel like I'm getting tested daily!   Then joyfully twirling around, follows "barking and dancing" Earl to her crate to eat what she has closely watched being prepared.  She also loves our morning walks, searching out everything she can.  She is always pushing her nose into bushes and grass clumps - with the result of her ending up with pickers, stickers and such attached to her that we have to attend to when we get home.  I'm beginning to believe that is her plan all along as she loves getting brushed and will sit (or try to climb in my lap) to get her brushing!  Sara is just a love to have around and anyone looking for a constant, loving companion could not do better than her!

Earl, my Alabama Pearl, is having a great time as usual - this time showing Stuart all his best games.  Earl us such a smart, fun-loving guy you can't help but love him.  He has such a great outlook on life and can make any day a good day.  His coat doesn't need much brushing but when he sees Sara getting brushed he has to come and get his share of loving attention, and will stay for as long as he can!

Stuart (9 mo) has come to stay with us for a bit, and everyone made him feel right at home.  He is all anyone could expect in a 9 mo puppy and more!  He has boundless energy, but goes to his crate for naps with no problems.  He has never had an accident in the house or his crate so for all practical purposes, I would say he is housebroken.  He loves to join in any "dog games", (he really likes playing tug-o-war with my 13#  I think because he thinks he can win, but rarely does.  They end up breaking it off and chasing through the house).  He is a wonderful, loving pup who will make a great addition there to any family !
