Shona was found as a stray and taken to a local Alabama shelter. She was pregnant and delivered her pups during the night at the shelter. Sadly, only one pup, a male named Valentino, survived. The little family was removed from the shelter that day and taken to a temporary foster home until Valentino was old enough to make the trip to Wisconsin. This picture is when he was 3 wks old.
